Can only borrow! Liverpool insist Carvalho will not sold after Leipzig woo
The ยูฟ่าเบท reports that Liverpool have no desire to sell Fabio Carvalho despite interest from RB Leipzig.
The Portuguese midfielder wants to play regularly but Jurgen Klopp still admires the 20-year-old playmaker.
Leipzig made an initial offer of £10m but were rejected by Liverpool last month. and hope to submit a new round again
Klopp understands Carvalho’s wishes but wants to let him go on loan.
Liverpool signed Carvalho from Fulham last summer and has play in 10 of his first 11 Premier League games this season.
However, his chances on the field are less. And ended the season by playing a total of 22 games, with only 7 real matches including all items.
Liverpool forward Fabio Carvalho has decided to stop representing Portugal at Under-21 level.
The 20-year-old was born in Torres Vedras in the nation. But has spent the last nine years in England. He represented England at Under-16, Under-17 and Under-18 level. Before picking up his first Portugal Under-21 cap earlier this year.
A statement from the Portuguese FA read: “Fabio Carvalho informed the Portuguese Football Federation, through some SMS messages, that he does not intend to continue representing Portugal at Under-21 level.
“This decision by the player was communicated after the squad for the preparation games with the Czech Republic and Japan was known.”
Carvalho has played four times for Portugal’s Under-21s, scoring twice.
Players who qualify for more than one nation, like Carvalho, are able to represent as many as they want until they pick up a first senior cap in a competitive game.
Carvalho has featured in 11 league games for Liverpool since moving there in the summer.
